One of my favourite prints. I have it hanging in my hallway. I love the vibrancy of the sun, makes me smile every time I see it.
This original print features 6 Jacobin hummingbirds around 7 Peony flowers with a sun in the background.
These birds are printed onto smooth, white, Somerset paper using hand carved blocks in ombre colours of yellow and ultramarine. One version has a more lemon yellow sun and the second, a orange/yellow sun.
The paper has deckled edges on 2 sides and is 28cm by 38 cm and the image is 23.5 cm by 23.5 cm .
As each print is hand printed there are variations in the colour intensity, darkness and depth of each print. This is what makes each piece unique and is a feature of hand printed art.
All prints are packaged with a recycled cardboard backing and in a compostable clear sleeve.
